Concept: Congresses
Congresses are usually large events with an average duration of 3 to 5 days.

WHAT ARE CONGRESSES?

Conferences are typically large-scale events that typically last an average of 3 to 5 days. The structure of such events may include various sessions in their program, such as:

  • Symposia;
  • Discussions;
  • Lectures;
  • Roundtables;
  • Among others.

Its objective is (in most cases) the transmission of scientific and cultural knowledge to its participants, and for this reason, the organizers are typically associations, universities, and institutions whose goal is to share knowledge.

FUTURE CONFERENCES

With the emergence of the pandemic, we observed an acceleration of event digitization. In order to respond to innovation and embrace the future, Leading has been organizing more and more events that blend the virtual and the in-person through digital events and hybrid events.

Furthermore, we have observed a growing demand for: virtual intelligence tools to organize meetings, real-time (and remote) voting systems, augmented reality on stages, and much more...

In the organization of conferences, innovation is the key word!

CONFERENCE EXAMPLES

An example of this type of event is the National Congress of Paediatrics, which this year will be held between 27 and 29 October in Braga. It will last for three days and in the words of Professor Inês Azevedo, President of the Portuguese Society of Paediatrics (SPP) will be an event "of high clinical and scientific interest" that aims to reach participants linked to the paediatric industry.
