The first ICCA report to appear after the beginning of the pandemic, and the only one (for now) to take into account the destination performance index (DPI) - indicator that measures the originality and resilience of countries and cities in adapting from face-to-face to virtual and/or hybrid formats - placed the United States and Spain at the top (worldwide and European level, respectively) . It also consolidated Portugal's notoriety in the list.
Currently, the designation "made in Portugal" in the universe of events, occupies the 7th position worldwide and 6th among European cities; Lisbon maintains the 2nd position in both rankings (both led by Vienna); and Oporto rose 23 positions worldwide (from 39th to 16th) and 8 places, in European terms (from 22nd to 14th). However, there are other national cities present in the index, being them:
- Cascais (165th place in the world | 94th place in Europe)
