More than time, it is imminent to talk about Medicine in an even more scientific way
This beginning of the decade was marked by a social and public health imminence on a global scale. The theme "Science in a time of pandemic" and the impact of Covid-19 were an active presence at the 23rd National Congress of the Portuguese Medical Association (OM), which set out to present recent updates in the different areas of Medicine.
A meeting that took place between 31 May and 3 June, in a hybrid format with two virtual rooms and one face-to-face room, in the former Church of the Convent of St Francis in Coimbra. In both spaces, prestigious speakers such as José Manuel Durão Barroso, President of the Global Vaccine Alliance and Andrea Ammon, Director of the European Centre for Disease Control and Prevention opened debate on the topic.
