Everybody Walks!
From October 14 to 18, 2024, ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa hosted the 24th Walk21 International Conference, organized by the Institute of Mobility and Transport, with the support of the Government of the Portuguese Republic, in partnership with Lisbon City Council, ISCTE and Walk21.
During this week, experts from all over Europe and the world gathered to share knowledge and experiences on how to develop and implement pedestrian mobility policies and programs that promote more active communities and safer streets. The conference also addressed the importance of pedestrian mobility for urban sustainability, accessibility and quality of life, with the aim of strengthening cooperation between cities and countries in developing effective solutions for urban mobility.
