"Return to dazzle" was the motto of this 42nd Meeting
The 42nd National Meeting of the Portuguese Association of General and Family Medicine (APMGF) took place between March 26 and 29, 2025, at the Tróia Design Hotel Conference Center. For four days, family doctors from all over the country came together to explore and discuss essential topics in the practice of General and Family Medicine (MGF), from clinical and technical-scientific issues to socio-professional challenges.
The APMGF was in charge of organizing the event, with secretary-general Nina Monteiro playing a central role. She stressed the importance of this meeting as a privileged space for sharing knowledge and strengthening the medical community. The program included moments of great relevance, including the opening and closing conferences, led by David Marçal and Catarina Oliveira. While the former addressed the latest biomedical advances, the latter reflected on the impact of diversity on healthcare provision.
With a participatory approach, the APMGF challenged its members to actively contribute, giving them the chance to design and present sessions at the meeting. This dynamic reinforced the inclusive and collaborative nature of the event, consolidating it as an essential reference for FGM professionals in Portugal.
