In 2006, Leading prepared the congress application for AESOP. Six years later, Lisbon hosted the 6th Congress of the European Operating Room Nurses Association (EORNAC), which was recognised by all as the best edition ever.

EORNAC is the largest congress of the specialty and is held every three years. Expert perioperative nurses from most European countries participate, as well as from Russia, the United States, Australia and Japan.

The congress is also attended by all the presidents of the European national associations, representatives of the perioperative nurses associations from Canada (ORNAC), USA (AORN), Australia (ACORN), as well as by the board and president of the IFPN (International Federation of Perioperative Nurses).
