The Aga Khan Music Awards ceremony concluded with the announcement of the prize in the performance category, the presentation of $500,000 in prizes and a final concert that brought together ten laureates, six categories and 13 countries from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and North America. A true celebration of diversity and pluralism through music.  

The Awards were presented by His Highness the Aga Khan, the President of the Republic, Professor Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, and Prince Amyn Aga Khan.

The mission of the Aga Khan Music Awards Programme is to promote the development of a living musical heritage in societies around the world and to disseminate that work internationally.
