What is the role of official statistics as a pillar of democracy?

The 11th European Conference on Quality in Official Statistics, Q2024, organized by Portugal's National Statistics Institute (INE) and Eurostat, was held in Estoril from June 4 to 7, 2024.

The event highlighted the most pressing challenges facing the statistical community and, as a complement to the main sessions, included a series of specialized courses on June 4 led by experts from the sector. These courses focused on four strategic areas: quality management, innovation, data science and artificial intelligence, dissemination and communication, as well as the integration of administrative data and data from private sources.
